Our Big Day counting down in...

Natalie & Alex

For those who didn’t know

Our Story

We met over a decade ago

Standard setting of many high school love stories – Alex was the sports captain and Natalie was the cheerleader of the school house. Alex charmed Natalie with his husky voice on an invitation call to the Swimming Gala. That’s it, and they have been together for 13 years now.

Hi there, Natalie here! Some fun facts about me:

For all guests arriving and checking in to RIMBA by AYANA Bali on 18th Sept 2024, we have arranged complimentary airport pick-up service for you!

We will collect your flight itinerary (Arrival Date & Time) before the wedding, so that we could arrange the complimentary airport pick-up service for you. Before your flight, we will then share with you the driver’s Whatsapp contact later on.

THE

Q&A

There is only 1 airport in Bali, and you will be arriving in Ngurah Rai (Denpasar) International Airport. Currently, direct flights from Hong Kong to Bali are available from two airlines: Hong Kong Airline and Cathay Pacific.

We will collect your flight information before our wedding so that free shuttle can be arranged to our venue – AYANA Resort.

It depends on how many destinations you are planning to visit in a day.

  • Taxis: More suitable when you require only point-to-point transportation. You may book through ride-hailing apps such as Grab or Gojek. Avoid hailing on the street to prevent any fare disputes. If you are paying in cash, please prepare small bills – as Bali taxi drivers notoriously don’t have enough change.
  • Private driver: If you are planning to visit multiple destinations in a day, we would suggest hiring a one-day driver via online tour companies like KLOOK. It is much cheaper on average, but be aware that some regions in Bali may involve additional charges.

Another tip in general, do not assume that the driver knows where to go. Always have Google MAP turned on to ensure you are on the right track.

We do not recommend EVOA. Based on our experience, standard VOA does not take much longer than EVOA. Plus, any incorrect information inputted in the EVOA may be a reason for immigration to either reject you or request some money from you. If you would still like to apply for EVOA, you may visit this website: https://molina.imigrasi.go.id/

Good question – it depends! But below are some scenarios that may be applicable:

  • If you are paying your private driver for a 1-day trip and you like their service, you could pay up to 200k IDR (~HKD$100). It is also expected to cover at least one of their meals throughout the day
  • If you are paying your meal at a high-end restaurant or any spa services, since service charge is already included, generally tipping is not expected. It is always a good practice to round up the sum to the nearest 10k IDR (~HKD$5)

September is a dry season in Bali and you can expect mostly sunny days with occasional showers (finger crossed – not on our Big Day)! The temperatures during this time range from 23–30°C. It is important to pack light and breathable clothing, and to stay hydrated throughout your stay. You may also consider bringing a lightweight jacket/ scarf in case the night gets cool.

Our wedding will take place on the grassy lawn overlooking Jimbaran Bay, while the reception will be held under a tent nearby.

As we are anticipating beautiful weather on our wedding day, please dress appropriately for an outdoor event based on the guide HERE. We recommend comfortable shoes, light jackets or wrap, and sunscreen for daytime events. We will provide umbrellas and fans for you. Please note that the terrain at the venue may be uneven, so we suggest avoiding Stilettos or shoes that may be difficult to walk in.

Our dinner reception will end at around 10-11pm.

As the evening winds down, some of you may feel tired and want to head back. No worries! We have arragned hotel buggy for you to send you back safe and sound.

And for some of you, the night is still young! After the party, we will be continuing the celebration with an afterparty.
We would be delighted if you could join us for some drinks and poker games – but don’t feel obliged if you would like to have a rest. If there are any games or activities that you would like us to arrange, please do let us know!

Unfortunately, due to budget and space limitations, we can’t afford for all of our lovely guests to bring a guest of their own.

Therefore, we regretfully have to inform our guests to please not bring a plus one, unless they are specifically named on the invitation. Thank you so much for understanding!

Feel free to message either Alex (Whatsapp) or Natalie (Whatsapp) with ANY questions, comments or chit chats you may have. We are more than happy to connect!
